HOWIE (PEGASE VAN’T RUYTERSHOF X QUINAR Z X LANDWIND
Born 28th April 2025, ‘Howie’ is a colt by Pegase van’t Ruyershof out of April Moon.
April Moon was produced successfully as a young horse by USA’s Nicole Shahinian-Simpson, which included winning the 6-year-old YJC Midwest Final in 2014, and the 7-year-old Young Jumpers at the 2015 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF).
Angel Karolyi (VEN) later took the reins for the duration of the mare’s international career. In 2019, Angel and April Moon contested the Pan-American Games in Lima, Peru, as part of Team Venezuela. During the 2019 season, April Moon won the $36,500 Murieta Inn Spa & Restaurant 1m45 at Samcramento CSI3*-W, was 2nd in the 1m50 at Spruce Meadows ATCO Connect CSI5*, 3rd in the $132,000 Grand Prix at Tryon CSI3* and 3rd in the $100,000 Grand Prix at Del Mar CSI3*.
The dam of April Moon, SRF Dragonfly (later SRF Dragonfly De Joter), represented both Brazil and the USA at Nations Cup level, with Karina Johannpeter and Nicole Shahinian-Simpson respectively. Nicole rode SRF Dragonfly to win the USA Olympic Show Jumping Trials in 2008.
During a competition break, SRF Dragonfly produced triplets from one embryo transfer flush, resulting in full sisters April Moon, Nicole’s multiple Grand Prix winning mare Akuna Mattata, and Junior showjumper Abbey Road. In 2020, Akuna Mattata ranked 10th in the final World Breeding Federation for Sports Horses (WBFSH) showjumping rankings.

MAGGIE (PEGASE VAN’T RUYTERSHOF X H5 GANESH HERO Z X TOUCHDOWN
Born 21st April 2025, ‘Maggie’ is a filly by Pegase van’t Ruytershof out of Gena QF.
Gena QF is the last foal from Knightfield Mena, with whom our breeding programme was started. She is a half sister to our young showjumper, Showman QF, and to Hendrix IIG, who both debuted at 1m40 level in Spring 2025.
Knightfield Mena is a full sister to Nations Cup Showjumper Touchable, who was ridden by Great Britain’s Jessie Drea. Together they represented Great Britain at team events in Copenhagen, Hickstead, Lisbon, Odense and Rotterdam. The pair were also Great Britain’s reserve combination for the 2014 World Equestrian Games.
Mullaghdrin Touch The Stars, the full brother to Knightfield Mena, performed at Nations Cup level with both Jessie Drea & Ireland’s Michael Duffy. In 2019, Mullaghdrin Touch The Stars was the highest earning Irish-bred horse across all Olympic disciplines, thanks to results such as placing third in Cascais Longines Global Tour Grand Prix, and winning the Longines Global Champions League Super Cup Quarter Final at the Global Champions Prague Playoffs.
Knightfield Mena is also a half sister to the international Showjumper Mullaghdrin Gold Rain, who competed up to Nations Cup level with Shane Breen, jumping double clear for Ireland in Lisbon CSIO4* in 2010.

NOVA (DRUMMER 2000 TN X CONTHARGOS X CHACCO-BLUE)
Born 6th May 2025, ‘Nova’ is a colt by Drummer 2000 TN out of Contaletta.
Conthaletta (‘Twinkle’) was produced as a young horse by Germany’s Daniela Theelen. At nine, Twinkle competed in Mexico for one season, prior to moving to the USA.
The career of Chaccoletta, Twinkle’s dam, followed a similar trajectory. Also bred at Gestüt Lewitz, Chaccoletta went on to jump with a number of riders in Mexico, competing up to 1m50. Chaccoletta also produced the Oldenburg licensed stallion Couture, and Contha Blue, who have both competed up to 1m45, and who are full brothers to Twinkle.
Conletta, Twinkle’s full sister, is the dam of Titanium PS who sold in the Schockemöhle Online Auction as a Four-Year-Old for €120,000. Titanium PS is now being produced by Hansi & Simone Blum, and has already been successful in a number of international young horse classes.
Dialou Blue PS, who competed at the 2022 European Championships with France’s Kevin Staut, is out of a full sister to Chaccoletta. Now Iron Dames Dialou Blue PS, she competes at Grand Prix level with Germany’s Katrin Eckermann.
PIPPA (CONTAGIO Z X DIAMANT DE SEMILLY X CARNUTE)
Born 8th May 2025, ‘Pippa’ is by Contagio Z out of Apple.
Originally named Evita van het Appelsvoordehof, Apple competed in Belgium as a young horse, prior to being sold to the USA. Under Mclain Ward, Apple was a winner up to national 1m50 level. Apple later moved to Eden Valley Stables, where she performed up to international 1m45 level with Tara Gallagher. Apple won her studbook inspection with the BWP-NAD, and was awarded Elite mare status.
Prior to her sport career, Apple produced Picobello Choppin PC, by Mozart Des Hayettes, who achieved multiple international wins under USA’s Molly Ashe Cawley, including the 1m45 Friends of the Meadows Cup at Spruce Meadows CSI5* in June 2018. In 2020, Picobello Choppin PC & Violet Lindemann Barnett became the USA/USEF Junior National Champions, while also collecting a Bronze medal in the Team Championship.
Apple’s dam, Baileys v/h Meulenhof, competed up to 1m45 in the USA, and is a half sister to Grand Prix performer, Caiman Des Sequoias. Grand dam, Sublime De La Cour, competed up to 1m40 level in Belgium. In total, six of Sublime’s offspring have competed to 1m40 or higher.
TINTIN (LIVELLO X CASSIANO X CANTUS)
Born 12th June, ‘Tintin’ is by Livello out of Cassitta SR Z.
Cassitta competed in The Netherlands as a five and six-Year-Old before an injury ended her sports career. Her first Irish-born offspring, Ziggy QF W, is displaying a lot of talent under the saddle of Spanish rider Celine Aragón Lorenzo.
Oslo, the dam of Cassitta, is a half sister to the international showjumper and approved stallion, Quality Time TN. In 2012, Quality Time represented The Netherlands on CSIO5* Nations Cup teams in Calgary, Dublin and Falsterbo in addition to winning the CSI5* Grand Prix in San Patrignano. Under Dubbeldam, Quality Time TN achieved significant success, including becoming the Dutch Champion in 2011.
Cassitta is a half sister to Charlotte SR who competed to 1m45 level with Dutch rider Max Van De Poll, and who is the dam of Jacs Z, a former mount of Ireland’s Jessica Burke, and Hetteea Harrison’s Ivory. Half brother Impressive SR Z performed to 1m40 level with France’s Pierre Gautherat. Intenskey SR Z, Cassitta’s younger brother, has competed to 1m40 under USA’s Denise Wilson-Gallagher.
In the spring of 2025, Tejas Dhingra (IND) made back-to-back victories when winning India’s National Championship aboard Tiens Key SR Z, Cassitta’s half brother.
ZUMA (AKARAD HERO Z X PERIGUEUX X KASSANDER VAN’T ROOSAKKER)
Born 2nd July, ‘Zuma’ is by Akarad Hero Z out of Pina Colada Hero Z.
Pina Colada Hero Z’s dam, Kamalah Hero Z, has competed to 1m45 under the saddle of Doron Kuipers (NED). A three quarter sister to Leopold Van Asten’s Grand Prix horse VDL Groep Elegant Hero Z, and to Young Horse World Champion Kerswin van’t Roosakker, Kamalah is also a half sister to the 1m60 Approved stallion, H5 Ganesh Hero Z (Carol Hank Guerreiro). In 2024, two siblings of Kamalah were finalists at the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses; Sevilla van De Berghoeve Z (Niamh McEvoy) & Corvette vd Berghoeve Z (Kris Christiaens).
Granddam, Hiamant van’t Roosakker, is a sister to Electra van’t Roosakker, Falco van’t Roosakker and MOM’s Gatoucha van’t Roosakker. Hiamant’s sisters have themselves gone on to produce Grand Prix horses such as Kaprice (Kent Farrington), L'esprit Hero Z (Dermott Lennon), Attoucha (Paris Sellon), Zarkava Hero Z (Johnny Pals) and Marit Haarr Skollerud’s World Championship mount, Nelson van't Roosakker.
The line has also given Ben Maher’s 2013 European Silver Medallist, Cella, among many others. The pedigree of Pina Colada Hero Z combines two crosses of the ‘Usha line’, as her dam is line-bred on Atoucha van’t Roosakker.
